Weather
-11C in camp at 08:00 hours.
Another cold count today with the high of 2C at 15:00. No winds at the beginning of the count, then
a light breeze out of the north. This
switched to a steady south wind for the remainder of the count 7-13kph. The barometer fell steadily. No clouds to speak of and excellent
visibility for raptor counting.
Raptor Notes
(3) unknown light-morphed RLHA came through today between
14:00-16:00, all flying the Smith River Road route. Unlike yesterday, not one came back. That was to be the days flight for migrants.
The small flight was reflected in diminished resident
activity with only one adult BAEA and one adult GOEA for the day.
Non-raptor Notes
The first AMCR of the season was heard. 2 elk appeared on Jumbo Mountain in the late
afternoon.
Visitors
None.
Next Day Forecast
